Many of Carlsbad's natural features can be seen from the seawall that runs from Tamarack Surf Beach to Pine Avenue, along the bluffs near the Village with a stretch of beach at the foot of the wall and a walkway on the inland side that is popular with joggers and strollers. From this location the view can be spectacular. You can see La Jolla to the south and Oceanside's sweeping bluffs and the mountains at Camp Pendleton to the north past the pier on a clear day.

Carlsbad boasts over four miles of spacious coastline with clean, uncrowned beaches and three picturesque lagoons. These sensitive ecosystems are ideal for bird watching and nature walks.

Southern California Coast Line and Miles of Sandy Beaches, plus Oceanside is also known for the nature grounds of Mount Ecclesia, launched in 1911. This place is the location of the international headquarters of a fraternal and service organization called The Rosicrucian Fellowship. It is also the location of its spiritual healing temple, called "The Ecclesia", situated upon the promontory of a high mesa.

Attractions : The Oceanside Pier, first built in 1888, (and now in its sixth incarnation) is the longest wooden pier on the western United States coastline at 1,954 feet (596m). Oceanside is home to Mission San Luis Rey de Francia, one of the Alta California Missions. Oceanside is also known for the nature grounds of Mount Ecclesia, launched in 1911. This place is the location of the international headquarters of a fraternal and service organization called The Rosicrucian Fellowship. It is also the location of its spiritual healing temple, called "The Ecclesia", situated upon the promontory of a high mesa. The bungalow house featured in Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise, is located on South Pacific Street, which is one street up from the Oceanside Strand, a section of residential houses along the Coastline. From June 20 through June 28, 1997, a record 221,000 fans watched the X Games III held in San Diego and Oceanside. The surfing competition took place at the Oceanside Harbor Beach. The California Surf Museum is located in downtown Oceanside. Every Fourth of July thousands of Oceansidians and people from the surrounding communities flock to the Pier to watch a spectacular Fireworks Show. Legoland California, located in Carlsbad, can be reached from Oceanside's Amtrak station. Carlsbad Transportation


Carlsbad homeowners are served by two Freeway access routes Interstate 5 & California Highway 101. Carlsbad commuters stay informed by checking freeway information  online  Cal Trans Real Time Traffic Conditions for North San Diego County provided by Cal Trans. SD Commute is the Official Site for Public Transit in San Diego County.

For Carlsbad commuters who choose to travel by rail, The Coaster light rail service connects Oceanside (just north of Carlsbad) to San Diego, complete with a Shuttle Service. Some Carlsbad commuters prefer bus transportation, so they simply Catch the Breeze!, provided by the North County Transit District, NCTD, with local bus routes in Carlsbad.

Two airports serve Carlsbad homeowners including McClellan-Palomar Airport and San Diego's Lindbergh Field.
